Dr. Bernstein graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology specializing in Neurobiology. Dr. Bernstein then attended Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. After he received his DDS, Dr. Bernstein entered the Periodontal residency program at University of Michigan. Dr. Bernstein holds a Masters Degree in Periodontics. He has also completed training in administering conscious sedation.

Dr. Bernstein has been involved with several research projects conducting trials for implant and bone augmentation. He has also expanded his implant training by completing the Carl MischImplant Institute.
